2003 mercedes benz suffered three tire sidewall flats. ** answer required***. when the dealer went to replace a damaged tire, they found that the remaining tires only had 2mm of tread left. the left front seat belt button was replaced. water leaked from the top corner of the vehicle.  view

2004 500e anti-lock brake system is not functioning properly. ** answer required***. the consumer stated the purpose of an anti-lock braking system is that when all brakes are locked, it will then pulsate the brakes so that the driver does not have to. the consumer stated on his vehicle the brakes system could lock without pulsing. the consumer believed the brakes did not lock and the bas did not perform as designed.  view

Complaint regarding recall work appointment. ** answer required***. the consumer was told the work would be completed, however the dealer called the consumer and told him there were no more parts available. the cigarette lighter did not work.  view

When making a turn a scrapping noise was heard coming from the front. vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the consumer that both front rotors needed to be replaced due to severe corrosion. manufacturer was notified.  view

'recall campaign' ford taurus 1995 recalled the engine cooling fan assembly and installing circuit breaker. the consumer stated the dealer replaced the motor and fan, but never installed the breaker. the dealer found a leak in the radiator but they did not have a replacement so the vehicle was taken to another shop. after the recall was performed on june 11. 2002 the vehicle overheated on june 28, 2002. the consumer was informed by the mechanic who previously performed the recall work, stated the vehicle had a blown head gasket and possibly a cracked head from overheating. the mechanic stated the fan motor did not cause the vehicle to overheat. the consumer stated he learned of a recall regarding the head gasket which the mechanic at the dealership denied that there was a problem. the consumer returned to the dealership again and they found the fan motor and circuit breaker not working properly, they denied there was a problem, however the vehicle overheated again, and the motor had to be replaced for a second time. the battery was replaced because the vehicle would not start at times.  view

During a 30 mph vehicle frontal collision front air bags did not deploy. consumer sustained minor injuries. the vehicle was towed. dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. ...problem wa sdiscussed with the dealer in detail but did not know how to resolve problem.  view

While driving 55 mph vehicle stalled. consumer managed to pull over, and had the vehicle towed. dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.  view

Throttle sticking on 2003 oldsmobile alero gl. while driving the vehicle would not decelerate. as a result the consumer was involved in an accident. the consumer had contacted the dealer prior tot he accident about the throttle sticking. the consumer found out about a recall for throttle sticking and request reimbursement for vehicle repairs.  view

Consumer complained about a transmission problem. owner took the vehicle to dealer, and was informed that transmission needed to be replaced. owner stated while accelerating from a stop light transmission would go into 2nd gear and would only go up to 40 mph, but will not change gears. driver would have to shut the vehicle off and turn back on before the vehicle would climb back up to 40 mph or greater. owner was baffled as to why this happened since vehicle was only 2 years old and had 85,000 miles.  view
