2004 ACURA TSX User Comment / Complaint

While traveling on the interstate at approximately 65 mph, i ran over some road debris which caused my tire to blow out. i did check my owners manual and acura does not warranty their $240 tires for that kind of failure. i then checked my michelin warranty booklet, which also stated that kind of failure was not warranteed. the nearest tire store did not have my tire in stock, so i had to put a non-oem tire on my car. while at the detroit auto show during industry preview day, i noticed a michelin booth. i inquired about my tire failure. michelin stated that i should have contacted them at the time of the blow out. i stated, i read their booklet and it was not covered under warranty. they took my name and number and said someone would contact me. with in one week i received a call from michelin. they instructed me to purchase a new michelin tire to match my other 3 tires and send them the bill. with in one week i received a check. if they want to be contacted and will reimburse me for tires, they should put that in the warranty booklet.
