2003 BMW 745LI User Comment / Complaint

I lease a bmw 745li. the lease began may 15, 2003. over the last few months three tires had to be replaced. the last two went flat as a result of driving at night over a low curb (a small island in the center of the road approximately 4 inches high) that had been installed since i last traveled that route. both tires on the drivers side went flat. i had stopped for a traffic light behind two other cars and did not see the curb (i have pictures). since i was accelerating from a stop the speed of the car was slow as the tires went over the curb. the tires could not be repaired and had to be replaced at a cost of over $800. other cars went over the same curb with no consequences. i believe these tires are defective or are not appropriate for this car. the original tires were 245/50/r18 bridgestone turanza. i've reported this to bmw customer service in new jersey and they refused to accept any responsibility or compensate me for all or part of the cost.
