1993 GMC C15 User Comment / Complaint

I was driving in traffic when suddenly without warning a warning cam across the message screen saying power steering and the service light turned on. i had lost all power steering. i was able to manually force the vehicle over to the side. i turned off the car and restarted it. when i restarted the vehicle the warnings disappeared and power staring working fine until about 5-10 minutes later, about less than a 1/4 mile traveled power steering went out again. i contacted my dealers service department and the service person there new instantly what it was and he said that the steering column had to be replaced.  view

2002 ford f-250 super cab spark plug blew out of cylinder head. just driving down the street and all at once there was a loud bang like a big hole blew out of the muffler. shut the engine off, pulled over and tried to determine cause. drove truck another couple of miles to repair shop. the repair bill was over $2,000. the repair shop states they have had at least 6 of these situations in the last 2 months. we believe this is a defect in this truck - the truck has 61,700 miles on it and it is too early to experience this kind of difficulty.  view

Smelled gasoline. fuel pressure regulator failed. was replaced, old part is not available.  view

Anyone over 5'11" cannot see the speedometer without slouching or tipping their head sideways. the view is blocked by the steering wheel. no one at the dealer had even sat in a similar vehicle a month after i brought to their attention. the only way to safely see the anti lock brake indicator, high beam indicator or oil light is if the vehicle is equipped with a tilt wheel. i notified the dealer after driving this vehicle less than 100 miles. to date they have done nothing and tell me it could cost me $3400 - $5000 to rectify.  view

Turning the key became progressively harder, and finally the cylinder locked completely. this should be a recall, it cost me $450.  view

I was driving across town when i noticed my engine was overheating. i was right down the street from my mechanic, so i stopped there. what was left of my coolant emptied out onto the ground as a i watched. my coolant intake gaskethad given out. the repair guy told me after he fixed it that it had virtually disappeared at some places. he also called me at some point to inform me that my fuel line had given out and was leaking. thankfully the shop was able to fix everything quickly, as i use my car for commuting to college and work.  view

My wife was exiting the highway going south bound at approximatly 50 mph when a car ran the stop sign facing east and west. my wife hit the car head on with her navigator while "t" boning the other vehicle. our navigators air bags did not deploy on either side, causing significant amount of injuries to both her and her passanger. all three victoms were taken to the hosp. via ambulance. when i asked the ford dealership why they had not deployed they informed me that the accident wasn't bad enough. my wife and friend are still receiving medical treatment and the other party at fault, is still in the hospital. his airbags did deploy  view

In my 98 sunfire gt i have some major problems with yet i still own the car. a little bit ago it seems like my exhaust pipe falls off from the exhaust manifold from the flange. with causing your car to sound like it was a drag racer. well i went to pontiac and figured out that it was going to cost me a pretty penny $500 some odd dollars. and the funny thing is that this has not just happened to me. it has happened to a few of my friends as well. i don't how know many times you have gotten letters about the faulty exhaust flanges.  view

Harness strap locking spring located on the back of the seat is broke leaving the harness strap not anchored in the back. the harness is not locking leaving it sliding and not securing the child. this seat was purchased 3 months ago.  view
