The consumer attempted to disengage the cruise control but it malfunctioned. the consumer was forced into the median strip of the freeway and applied the emergency brake to stop. the consumer stated that the brake froze and could not be depressed at all. the consumer skidded along the gravel median from a high rate of speed by using the emergency brake.
