1989 BMW 535 User Comment / Complaint

I was driving when vehicle engine just stopped. no warning at all. i was able to exit the traffic lanes safely. i was lucky that the traffic was light at that time. the vehicle is a 2000 chevrolet s10 pickup with only 41000 miles. initial problem was the fuel pump according to the chevrolet dealer. since this happened to me i've heard of two other chevy pickups having the same problem.  view

Ball joints on 1999 dodge dakota. i have already replaced one and need to replace the other. my model year is not being recalled despite the fact that the exact same manufacturer of the ball joint and the same design was used on it, as it is on the 2000-2004 that is included in the recall. in addition, you have recommended only recalling the 4x4 models, but 4x2 models also suffer from this problem. who paid you guys to not include our model year. you are a disgrace. i am outraged.  view

Request for compensation for engine failure as a result of a defective plastic intake manifold. coolant leaked into the engine which was caused by the main bearing seizing. recall# 04v090000. the initial diagnosis was that the seal under the plastic plenum was defective. the check engine light had come on within two blocks of leaving the service dealer. they found that coolant leaked into the engine again and the warped plastic plenum would not seal against the manifold. the consumer stated the vehicle needed other repairs such as a replacement motor for the passenger's window, power steering hose which was leaking, a rear wheel cylinder and a new transmission.  view

Using cup holder above cliamate control and radio lead to short circuit of climate control and the functionality of my radio. the buttons on ghe radio does not work as it use to. i will replace the climate control as soon as i can save up over $600.00 not to include labor.  view

During service on my salem le (forest river) travel trailer to adjust the brakes and repack the wheel bearings, the dealer notified me that two of the trailer wheels were separating and coming apart. i was warned by the dealer that the tires were unsafe to drive on. all five of the trailer tires were replaced with a different brand. i presently have all five of the trailer wheels which were removed in the event someone wants to do a failure analysis on them.  view

Front driver's seat has loose track and rocks while driving. dealer attempted a quick fix per tsb to no avail. toyota rep advised toyota would replace the seat track, but dealer stated i would have to cover the $350.00 labor charge. i was advised there was a technical service bulletin on defect, but i still had to pay for the labor. if there is a known defect, materilas and labor should be at the expense of toyota.  view
