My 2000 honda passport stalled on me one thursday morning and called american honda to find out if the problem is covered by the warranty. i was instructed by american honda to have the car towed to a nearest dealership to be diagnosed for any mechanical failure and given a case# for this incident. i received a call the following day from the dealership with regards to what the problem was. they told me that it's a broken transmission seal that caused my car to stall and i was given an estimated work order of $385. i followed up with american honda and informed them of the situation down to me renting a replacement vehicle while it's being repaired. i was informed that they are going to evaluate the problem and will reimburse me for the repair if it falls within their "said" guidelines. so i went ahead and paid for the order 2 days later for $333.44 and $13.34 of which is the cost of the part and the rest is the dealership's labor cost (ridiculous) not to mention $27.72/day for my car rental for 2 days. monday came and i received a call from american honda stating that they did a follow up on the repair and they decided that the repair cost were not considered "pre-mature defect" that i do not qualify for a reimbursement from american honda.  view
