Srs bag light steadily on and seat belt light man on dash chimes for no reason and blinks on/off. took in to pontiac 6/18/04, they fixed wiring harness that day (unclear on invoice) we just bought the vehicle in may 2004. a few weeks later we had the same problem and took it back in, just to hear that it was a cluster this time, they claim they're were toys under the seat and a plug was broken but the only toys in there were little hot wheels. so, they put in a new cluster and here we are three weeks later and i am still having the same problem with the seat belt man light and the srs bag light on the dash. pontiac will look at it again, they say, but i cannot see that one part after another needing to be replaced every two weeks and the outcome is always the same with the same item defaulting(seat belt guy light/srs air bag light on dash stays on).

I have reported this before but have not heard back from you... can you please help? poor handling motorcycle, 2004 harley davidson, flhtci - motorcycle tended to want to "pull" to the left, especially when decelerating - several visits to the dealer for "alignments" of the engine/frame/drivetrain - problem minimized but not eliminated. - "high speed wobbles" occurred regularly and without notice which i handled becuase i am an experienced rider and very fortunate to have been able to survive. - removal of tire to repair puncture and check of swingarm found the swingarm moves left to right about 1/4 inch.

I purchased this car new from jack bigger nissan. approximately 5 years after the purchase, in our hot summers, i noticed the digital dashboard (one of the features that attracted my husband and myself to this particular car) started showing horizontal "streaks" across the light panel & the readings would flicker in and out. as the years passed, the problem grew worse, to the point where the lights would actually go out completely! when the problem first started, approximately 1994, i took the car to the dealership it was purchased from and was informed that, yes, they had discontinued using these digital lights just for that reason! upon inquiry to repair, i was told the car was out of warranty and it would cost roughly (at that time) $1200 - $1400 to install the electrical components required to remedy the problem!!! i had them sometimes. i am still driving the car after 15 yrs., i never have any of my dash lights - not speed, oil, gas, mileage, check engine, cruise control or temperature; or any other readings i've long forgotten had been there. obviously, speed and my gas gauge are the two things i consider missing the most. i can keep up with the gas, i've only run out once, to my credit. the speed, however, i feel is dangerous. perhaps nissan does not care if i get a ticket or two for being over the speed limit, so perhaps that danger is perceived as "only to me", afterall, it's not like the brakes or transmission. i do not agree. i have felt, from the beginning, that to fix this problem is nissan's responsibility. i know there are other 1989 maximas on the road with no dash lights. i have been "in the dark" for about 8 yrs. now and i do feel this is a safety issue. thank you for providing this forum to explain this car's problem, i did write to nissan corp. and the dealership several times, just to be ignored. sincerely, joan l. pelzer.

My f150 p.u. has a stress crack in the curve of the door by the window. the latch is not tight enough, so the door is hard to shut. my windshield wipers turn on by themselves, the odometer light goes on & off, the seat belts do not recoil & the "door ajar" light gets stuck, eventhough all doors are reshut. engine sometimes runs rough eventhough has just had 60,000 mile check. the ford dealership wants to charge me for new part to fix odometer light $300+plus labor, $58 for door part+labor. haven't talked to them about "rough running", i'm sure they'll want more $$ to fix it too.
