2004 BMW 5 SERIES User Comment / Complaint

Bmw 5 2004: when the passenger seat is vacant a warning message (that the passenger airbag is off) is continuously displayed at eye level in the roof console. this is very distracting, especially when driving at night. the message should only come on when the passenger seat is occupied and the airbag is not functioning.
