1993 GMC C15 User Comment / Complaint

Vehicle - 2001 chevy suburban, ` 46000 miles. the component failure involved an abs (antilock brake) module and pump. a relay or some other electrical component fails and the pumps runs continuously, even without the key in the ignition. apparently this damages the pump and the whole unit must be replaced at a cost of approximatley $ 1000. it seems that this should be considered a safety defect because it involves the critical component of the braking system. these must be failing at a significant rate due to a comment from the service provider that the chevy dealer had 6 units in stock indicating fairly active inventory. i felt it was important to notify a regulatory agency regarding this matter.  view

While driving 56 mph vehicle went over a dip in the road and lost control, and rolled over three times, ejecting the driver from the vehicle. as a result, driver died at the scene.  view

While driving and applying the brakes vehicle lurched forward. vehicle has had this problem for over a year. vehicle was involved in one collision, and was being sued. there were no injuries or fatalities.  view

Engine stops dead in the middle of driving...dealer has not been able to repeat problem but 4 warnings come up on computer  view

Air conditioning--still works but at times it shuts of the upper air ducts and i have to shut it off on restart it to make it work right. engine--- makes a noise ( started at 20,000 miles) took it to a dealer they could not figure out what it was. after warranty was up told its the timing chain.at 92,000 still makes the same noise power window-- passenger side does not work other--1. radio (tape deck) tape deck turns the wind and rewind on by itself. have to turn the motor off and restart to get it to quite. 2.have all kinds of wire problems, all the plastic coating comes off and wires break 3.tail light plugs won't stay plugged in paint-- chips easily  view

While applying the brakes there was a squeaking noise coming from the front/rear of the vehicle. the pedal had gone down and made a squeak noise. the front end bounced and vibrated due to the pinch bolt that retained the steering knuckled to the lower ball joint. (may not have the proper torque) there was a problem with the front end and rear. the wheel was replaced, the flat tire was balanced and the beam worked okay. the vehicle made noise when released from park mode, stop, and was intermittent. (has been adjust 3-4 times but would go back to the same thing)  view

The vehicle was taken for an oil change when the consumer found out the rear brakes were completely gone. the rear brake pads and rotors had to be replaced. the total cost for all repairs were $545.61. also the seat belt had to be replaced.  view

Vehicle keeps jumping out of gear. vehicle jumped out of gear in january of 2001 and ran over wife's left knee. vehicle has done this twice this year, and is still doing it. when the vehicle jumps out of gear it moves forward. please help.  view
