1989 DODGE ARIES User Comment / Complaint

While the vehicle was parked the driver noticed that the front driver side tired was deflated. the driver inspected the tire and noticed that coil spring was broken. please provide further details.  view

The fly wheel and the clutch assembly separated and blew off, while driving between 30-40 mph. when this occurred, a part of the clutch assembly became lodged in the floor on the driver's side, and almost severed the driver's foot. also, this failure destroyed the engine block, the entire clutch assembly, bell housing and the transmission. a factory district rep,. came out to inspect the vehicle, but didn't provide a sensible reason for what caused the failure.  view

Dealer resurfaced the fronts rotors and replaced the pads. at 21,000 miles the front rotors were resurfaced and the pads were replaced again. at 23,000 miles the front pads were replaced for a third time and at 42,000 miles they replaced strut mounting. at 43,000 front and rear brakes were replaced for the fourth time.  view

On 5/27/03 during reg oil/filter/tire rotation at firestone,5417 mccardle,corpus christi,tx i was told one tire had a compression bubble"impact break on sidewall".i replaced it.on 5/29/03 another tire self destructed with no apparent reason.i replaced it (50% discounttires were firehawk gta-02(i do not have tires and do not see a dot# on the remaining two.i called firestone warranty,spoke to chuck and requested 2 new tires at no cost as i do not believe in coincedences and the safety issue. i said i paid for two and firestone should pay for two.he said he would call firestone cc. i called today 6/6/03 .he said he never called and had no memory of promising to make such a call. he ended by saying that firestone would not give me two tires he apparently does not have a screen for incoming as i had to retell my tale.his initial response was when firestone had complaints on the 99-2000 hawkeye,they voluntalily recalled and replaced- yea sure; voluntary vs. administrative action. please investigate and respond thank you arthur berman.  view

1997 4.6 v-8 crown victoria plastic intake manifold... cracked while driving on highway resulting in coolant loss and repair cost of $779.repair was made by ford dealer quoting a service bulletin # tsb-02-02-02. internet inquires show widespread failures of these manifolds in ford and mercury engines, with a supposedly "extended warranty" for the repair however only law enforcement and cab fleets are covered at no cost. individuals must pay for repairs, towing, rental cars, etc.  view

I bought the car on march 5, 2003 and after 2-3 days the engine light came on! i made more than several attempts to have the repairs done at lithia vw in reno, nv; and the only repairs half way done was the secondary air injection valve and hoses, but not the sai pump as well as the tumbler of the ignition. this is a lemon from day one and i have several proof of the problem even from dmv of nevada in their dtc's which is the diagnostic trouble code descrition of p0411-secondary air injection system!!!!! no one will help me, and i bought the car to enjoy and to not worry of breaking down, but now.....it sits in the driveway....so the warranty won't be voided, and that my car doesn't get worse. i do have many documents to back this claim and the dealer-budget moters won't help, nor will the aul warrenty co. that i pay.  view

I own a 1992 lincoln mark vii lsc. i have 86,000 original miles. the car is very well taken care of. i have put lots of money into exhaust system, and also the brakes. the sunroof is starting to leak, the factory stereo system is not working. recently 8-8-2003 my abs brakes have failed. within the last year all of the paint is starting to peel off the car. this includes the roof, trunk, left fender, right fender, basically the whole car. the electric window on the drivers side no longer works. is there any help out there to get a response thank you brian  view
