When the vehicle was started, the gas gauge would go pass empty and caused the engine light to appear, when going over bumps the vehicle would swing out (almost lost control), when the speed goes up to 60 mph the front end vibrates, and when a right turn was made, a cracking noise was heard. the dealer could not duplicate. scc  view

Nhsta recall campaign id# 03v15900 applies to chevy s-10's through 1997. the recall relates to faulty wiper motor circuit boards that lead to intermittent operation of wiper blades. i own a 1998 chevy s-10 and have experienced numerous failures of the wiper blades during rain storms. the most severe incident happened during heavy rains on june 4, when i lost the use of my wipers for 20 minutes. i have described the problem to mechanics who informed me of the recall and indicated that it is most likely the same problem as that of the recall. the recall should be extended to model year 1998 as soon as possible.  view

Headlight output is not sufficient, lighting is very bad, even with brand new factory replacements. it is dangerous to drive this car at night, as the road is not lit out enough to see persons, animals or obstructions in the way. this is a known issue with these cars and something should be done to resolve that, as it is only a matter of time until someone will have an accident, hopefully not involving the loss of human life.  view

The engine overheated with only 53,000 miles of very easy driving and regular maintenance. needs major repairs and have replaced lug nuts every time tires are rotated etc.  view

The dealership did not technically inspect my truck that is they just looked at it according to the write up person.  view

240 wb coachman catalina sp mm 240 wb-f: have not yet made formal complaint; tho they are many, from failure of electric, to roof not being sealed and having pin hole, to oven pilot and burning shutting down while "on" to many many "minor" things like leaky plumbing, screws "popping" out, handles coming unfastened, counter tops and finish "peeling" off, walls w/ electrical receptacle and co detectors wired through, and not being properly secured in wall. preparing formal complaint and could use help. thank you.  view

I just turned 18 and graduated high school got a job bought a so called good used intrepid. it looked as though it was well maintained i paid over $3,300 for the car and taxes. i drove it for less than ten days and less than 200 miles. now it will not shift out of first gear. i took it to the dodge dealer where they said the transmission kickedout 4 differant internal codes. they said it had to be replaced. then i found out about other people that has had problems with their intrepid transmissions.if dodge would have posted a letter of the problems they have had with the intrepid transmissions i would have never bought a dodge intrepid! i like the car but the bank that i received the loan through said the car is not worth $5,700.00. that is how much that 1996 dodge intrepid will end up costing me. not counting the loss of transportation to get to and from work.  view
