Purchased 2003 gmc sierra denali with the 6.0l engine. the accelerator pedal can be depressed part way without any change to the engine rpms, causing the driver to press the pedal even further. this could be dangerous: a) delayed vehicle response when depressing gas pedal, b) driver depressing the pedal too far causing the vehicle to lurch forward. took the vehicle to the dealer, response was that this is within specs. not all 2003 sierra denali's are like this, some have immediate response when depressing the pedal.
