Paint peeling off hood,local dealership was contacted in 2001 said nothing could be done. the dealership (new owners) contacted said the car was outside of the "recall". contact made with gm customer service, they do not have a record of any paint problems for the 1996 corsica nor are there any recalls on that vehicle.
