2000 GMC C15 User Comment / Complaint

Rusting of rear brake rotors causing premature wear and replacement of brakes and rotors. the dealer and gm replaced the rotors under warranty while it cost me $269 to have the brakes replaced. my concern quality of metal on rotors not condusive with normal every day use. are their specification to thickness and quality of metal for all manufactures? life expectancy?
