1986 PLYMOUTH RELIANT User Comment / Complaint

While driving, sometimes vehicle engine shuts down. all power assist systems fail, sometimes vehicle will restart right away, more often in several hours, recently it would not start for days after it would stall, throttle position sensor, computer power module, and computer logic module have all been replaced and problem is still occurring, dealer has also reassembled the fuel injector, replaced cooling fan, and tightened belts, problem still occurs.

While driving at any speed and applying the brakes. pedal went to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. also, front right wheel smoked and locked up. at 8,000 miles, vehicle intermittently screeched and smoke came out from right front. brakes still operates; however, it has extended stopping distance. also found where leak on the braking system. dealer stated that vehicle fell under general maintenance.
