Engine stalled after i had driven two miles with no warning. i had just down-shifted into 2nd gear as i was slowing to make a turn and the car stalled across two traffic lanes and would not restart. the oil light, battery light, and one other light came on (alternator i think). the car was manually pushed out of traffic lanes in neutral gear by two motorists who stopped to help. they were also unable to restart the vehicle. after approximately 10 minutes the engine started. i had the car towed and after 5 days the dealership still cannot find anything wrong. apparently the onboard computer did not capture the problem. i am extremely concerned because the car stalled without warning at approximately 25 miles an hour. had i been on the interstate as scheduled (i was running late and had to drop my daughter off before going home to pick up my laptop) i would almost certainly have been involved in an accident because i had no time to maneuver out of traffic after the engine stalled. it was 75 degree day (monday 11/3/03) so outside temperature could not have been a factor.  view

We purchased the 2002 kia sedona yesterday 12-28-03. we drove the car for about 45 minutes today, stopped for dinner at a fast food restaurant and then drove again for about 10 minutes when while driving the vehicle, the battery and brake warning lights flashed on and off a few times, then stayed on. when the brake pedal was depressed, the radio shut off and would not come back on. then the seatbelt warning light came on and the dash lights, exterior and interior lights dimmed. while car was still in motion, the sunroof would not close and the other windows were very slow at closing. the car shuddered a couple of times as if ready to stall. we made it home just in time, the car stalled and would not restart. we were able to close the sunroof, but it was very slow. we have tried to charge the battery, but it does not seem to be taking a charge. secondly the seatbelt indicator light does not sound or indicate that seatbelts are not buckled. thirdly there is moisture under the drivers side head light. also, when the vehicle is in motion and the dvd player is operating, there is a whistling sound heard through the dvd headphones/sound during acceleration. we will be notifying the dealer tomorrow morning.  view

I had my brakes replaced at 23000 miles and every 3 months since. they are only wearing on the driver's side the worst but wear on both sides. the dealer stated it was because they were metallic. the brakes are extremely noisy with squealing and grinding sounds. i have had them replaced and have spend over 3000 dollar since i have owned the car and i am the original owner. also the left child lock is not working and therefore causes the door to only be opened from the outside. the handle when pulled from the inside has no resistance and this has been checked and everything is in tact. the problem has not been solved or fixed and i cannot afford the replacement part for the child lock.  view

The parking brake on my 2001 blazer does not work when the vehicle is parked "nose-up" on an incline. (vehicle has rear disc brakes with a small drum/shoe parking brake.) the dealer told me there is nothing wrong with the parking brake, i.e. it is not suppossed to hold the vehicle in this position, parking brake will only hold the vehicle in the "nose-down" position on an incline. the dealer told me it would be a waste of money to have them disassemble and inspect the parking brake components. gm customer service refused to provide a clear answer to my inquiries and keeps refering me back to the dealer. gm customer service refuses to communicate with me further on this issue. gm customer service refuses to put their prior responses and refusals in writing, on letterhead. in short, gm knows this is a dangerous design defect that will cost them a lot of money to correct.  view

2003 chevrolet van purchased new 6/23/2003 from randy marion chevrolet-pontiac-buick, inc., mooresville, nc 28115. problem: squealing brakes. i have had this van into the dealership on five separate occassions in the past five months to have the brakes repaired. the dealership keeps my van from 2 to 4 days to 'make certain the problem has been corrected'. the brakes have not been correctly repaired. various service tickets state, "clean, adjust, applied anti-seize on rear backing bplates; beveled edge of brake shoes, and readjuste: clean and adjusted rear shoes and applied anti-squeal'. the brakes continue to squeal each time i press my foot to the brake. i am greatly concerned for my families safety. i am distressed that this dealership (randy marion) will not contact gm to ask for technical assistance to correctly resolve the brake problem as i have requested the dealership to do so on more than one occassion.  view

In reference to open investigation pe03050. i have cadillac seville, sts, 1997. had exactly the same problem as described -- strong fuel smell in the car -- when checked by the dealership -- there was a pin hole in the fuel rail -- i have seen it myself and it was scary. logged the complaint with cadillac: 1-143771161 on 09/30/2003, but they were not willing to investigate any further at that time. cadillac should recall all these vehichleas soon as possible because this is a significant fire hazard. please feel free to contact me at (262) 860 6403 (work) if you have any questions. regards, alex rivils.  view

My 2003 ford escape had only 1500 miles on it when the drivers side rear tire blew out on the freeway. i was able to control the car to come to a stop. the continental tire blew out the side.  view

At barely 39000 miles on my 2002 dodge dakota sxt, we have discovered that the right upper ball joint is nearly shot. the problem is that the noise and problems began way before the 36000 mile mark but we never considered that it would be something that needed major repair. now we are beyond the 36000 mile warranty and we have to pay for the repair ourselves. after research we have discovered that this problem is quickly becoming a common problem with these vehicles. so we would like to make our issue known in conjunction with any other owners with the same problem in hopes that maybe dodge will take some corrective action.  view
