1994 DODGE VIPER User Comment / Complaint

Turn signal/windshield wiper switch defective. wipers turn on intermittently.  view

Vehicle's low pressure light illuminated, vehicle was towed to mechanic. mechanic stated that there was sludge build up in the motor.  view

Vehicle stalled multiple times while accelerating. failed to start. fuel pump had to be replaced.  view

I have a 1998 chevy ck 1500 4+4 truck and the windshield wipers work occasionally and sometimes they work and won't shut off while the engine is running. i have heard about this problem with other trucks, but chevrolet says this is not a recall matter.  view

The turn signals and hazard flashers on my 2000 chevy malibu only work intermittently. often times they will not work at all, or they will stop working in the middle of a turn. they will flash once or twice and quit working; in addition, they will work for a moment then quit working then begin working again. also, rarest of all, they will work fine. there is a recall on the turn signals and hazard flashers for the same make, model, and year; however, gm has told me that it does not cover my vehicle. obviously, the problem that i am experiencing is the same or similar to the problems experienced in covered vehicles (if, in fact, mine is not a covered vehicle). this has been happening for several months without an obvious cause. there are no conditions which made my car immune from this problem, but it happens less when i run the air conditioner.  view

Engine stalls while driving at various speeds. loss of steering and braking. very serious and scary situation.  view

Accelerator pedal sticks. driver has to put excess pressure on pedal to unstick which causes unsafe "jackrabbit" surges and is a serious safety hazard.  view

On 10/31/03, the accelerator on a 1996 ford crown victoria stuck causing a property damage accident which was reported to the police. the vehicle was being driven by my daughter. the vehicle exhibited the same problem when my son was driving it on 11/25/03. my son had to put the vehicle in neutral as the brakes would not stop with the brakes applied or stop accelerating. this is an extremely dangerous condition.  view

On july 18, 2003 we took our 1998 pontiac montana (58,000 miles) to domaille buick-mazda-mitsubishi in rochester, minnesota for a 3,000-mile oil change prior to leaving for our summer vacation. on that day the mechanic informed us about evidence of a lower intake manifold gasket leak and the need for immediate repair. gm has a vehicle owner satisfaction program initiated in response to the problems noted with their intake manifold gasket. gm redesigned the intake manifold gasket and replaced the gasket at no cost to the owners of 1999-2003 model cars. this repair was neither covered under the original warranty or the service bulletin issued to the dealer identifying the problem. gm has been unresponsive to my complaint. i believe that i should be reimbursed for the cost of this repair, which exceeded $800.00.  view
