1995 GMC K15 User Comment / Complaint

While driving at 15/20 mph transmission hose burst. transmission fluid leaked out which caused vehicle not to accelerate. cause of the hose failure was undetermined.  view

While traveling 45 mph and as a result of a frontal impact front seat belts did not lock in place, causing consumer to hit steering wheel with chest.  view

I experienced a continental tire tread separation while driving on the freeway at about 65 mph today. the tire tread caused considerable damage to the side fender/bumper and side step panel after the tread separation. the car is a 2000 lincoln navigator id # 5lmeu27a2ylj42308 which i just purchased on july 6, 2003. the tire was a continental suv p265/70r17 113s that appears to be the replacement tire for a continental tire recall in august 2002 (nhtsa campaign id number: 02t012000) dealing with the contitrac aw and grabber aw tires size p275/60r17 for use as original equipment on certain 2000-2001 by two-wheel-drive ford expedition and two-wheel-drive lincoln navigator sport utility vehicles. the spare tire that was then put on the car looks to be the original equipment spare tire. it is a continental aw tire, p275/60r17 100s that appears to be the tire that was covered under the recall. i would like know how to correctly identify the spare tire i am now riding on as to whether it is the tire that was recalled and if so as to how i can get it replaced. also, as to who is going to pay for the damages that the tire has caused and as to how i can get the tire replaced because of apparent manufacture defect. also, if the spare is one covered by the recall how is it that the car dealer i purchased it from only two months ago did not have it replaced or at least notified me of the defective product that would / could prove fatal to myself or others?  view

Consumer states that vehicle cuts off on her at will. has taken vehicle to 2 mechanics, and they could not find out the cause. consumer gets scared when crossing an intersection, because she is afraid that vehicle will cut off and another vehicle may run into her. when vehicle cuts off the rpms go down to zero, and vehicle coasts along.  view

1998 dodge durango...transmission slips between 2nd & 3rd gear. tachometer lurches forward with no power to the axle. this is a very dangerous situation when on the highway attempting to merge or pass. being that chrysler knows about this, they should be forced to remedy the problem, regardless of cost. this has been happening since i purchased the vehicle. i've returned it to the dealer and they said they've never heard of this problem.  view

Sudden electrical failure related (according to dealer) to failure of bcm (computer module. resulted in loss of gages in dashboard, loss of headlights, loss of windshield wipers, electric doorlocks failing, car could not be taken out of gear (park) when stopped.  view

Brakes fail if they are applied at the same time there is slight bump. dealer said they can't reproduce the issue.  view

Consumer received recall notice 03v153000 concerning the rear suspension subframe corrosion in july 2003. dealer still does not have the parts available to repair the recall defect.  view

When applying the brakes, sometime the drivers foot hit the gas pedal, and caused a longer stopping distance. the pedals were too close and on the same horizontal plain when the brakes were depressed.  view

Key would not go into ignition, car towed to dealer they replaced at cost of 350+ would not cover under extended warranty.  view
