The turn signals and hazard flashers work very poorly...i have had tis vehicle for a year now, and every day they stop working....i have contacted to dealer many times, but each time i am told that the hazard switch might be bad..which is the same component that went bad in the 95-era grand ams that made them experience the same problem, leading pontiac to issue a recall on them....so it needs to be expanded!...they will stop working for no reason and this has almost caused a few accidents....and one time when i needed to place my hazard flashers on, they will not work....very dangerous...these are supposedto be a safety device that doesnt work..please try to recall these! previous model years of grand ams experienced the same problems!!! and i have talked to many other owners that have the same issues exactly....

I'm an owner of a yamaha yzf-r6 sportsbike. the battery started leaking the night of the 28th of august 2003. on the morning of the 29th the rear shock resevoir, rear swingarm and chain had noticable amounts of acid on them. since i was out of town at the time i needed to get this issue solved immediatly so i went to the local dealer where i was (which is named ray wilt motorcycle - atv superstore in hanover, pa) to have a new battery put in, which i was charged in full for. i contacted my local dealer (which is action yamaha in metuchen, nj) to see about having this issue taken care of. i was told that my bike was out of warrenty and that this battery leak was caused due to user error since i "left the battery in for an extended period of time". no where in the user manual does it state that the battery needs to be removed from the bike over the winter months. i then contacted the yamaha customer relations corporate office and was told that since i no longer have the original battery there is no proof of any defective part and my bike is out of warrenty anyway so there is nothing they can do for me.

Left front torsion bar broke as it was put into gear from park. mechanic states that this is a problem with this make and model, but no recall has been initiated. can't find replacement torsion bar and have to order replacement kit that requires replacement of both torsion bars which more than triples the repair costs.

We are continuously experiencing problems with our toyota corolla (2003) creating a "rotten egg" smell. we have complained multiple times to toyota, including filing a complaint with their national headquarters. we have been told 1)the smell is normal, 2) we're using the wrong type of gas (we have tried all kinds) and 3) we need to run the car with the air recirculating at all times. we also do not get the gas mileage as expected. we are generally getting 29 mpg with mostly interstate driving. the two may be related. this started last fall shortly after purchase. the purchase date is listed below.

I recently received a letter from gm stating that there may be a problem with coolant leaks around gaskets at the upper intake manifold or at the lower intake manifold which might "cause high engine temperatures". the letter says it is a "voluntary customer satisfaction program". the suggested fix is to take the vehicle in to the local dealer and have them change some of the fasteners and then "add cooling system sealant" to the radiator. it seems to me that putting cooling system sealant in a brand new car (and thus reducing the life of the radiator) is an unacceptable fix for a possible gasket problem. i would think that the company needs to replace the intake manifold gaskets instead, if they are the faulty part. however, when i called the number that gm supplied they said that they would not replace the gasket and that if we did not have the repair done as stated in their letter and the gasket subsequently failed after the warranty period was over, we would have to pay the full cost of the repairs. it appears that this might be something that nhtsa needs to check into as a potential recall for all of the cars with this type of engine sold through gm and provide the customer with an acceptable fix for the problem without gumming up the radiator on a car with less than 7,000 miles on it. please advise me of my options with the above problem. i made my best effort to solve it with the company and got a poor option as a solution to the problem. i don't know who else to talk with. thank you in advance for looking into this situation.

Multitude of probs. w/ almost every aspect (brakes, engine valves, oil light stays on, rain leaks, bad wheel bearings, etc.) of this car. most frustrating has been rude and incompetent service by audi dealer. after an expensive repair to the rear wheel bearings the dealer said that although not all the noise was gone, the car was safe enough to drive to calif.,(we live in nj). we did not believe the dealer because a loud grinding noise remained and took it to another shop where both front control arms were found to be damaged. we were advised not to drive the car as it was not safe to do so .

2nd time this happened...tensioner pulley failed (broke off) while driving on the highway. serpentine belt came off, car overheated/engine failure/etc. first time was ay 40,000 miles. this time, at 102,000 miles. towed to a texaco station in aberdeen, md. service manager says tensioner pulley failure common in explorers. had to replace pulley/belt. once i returned home to nj, i started to notice minor dripping of radiator fluid. 2 weeks later, it all gushed out, causing me to also replace my radiator. to know this has now happened twice, caused secondary damage both times, and that you get left stranded on a highway each time is very concerning.
