1994 GMC G SERIES User Comment / Complaint

Beetle has had a number of major repair problems. air conditioning system failed at 3years old resulting in a complete rebuild. recently, window parts failed on both sides resulting in windows falling down into the doors. power window on driver side, hatch release and gas tank door release switches have all failed or broke resulting in replacement. ecm module has been replaced. glove box door broke and has been replaced. currently dealing with another series of check engine lights and awaiting diagnosis.  view

I have a eddie bauer 199 ford explorer, and the automatic fuel pump switch will just switch off for no apparent reason. this has happened while driving and after being parked. no accident has occured as of yet, but this is a very dangerous situation.  view

My 2002 kia started leaking transmission fluid, i went to kias repair shop four different times in three different states and the problem still exists. after the fourth time of being in the shop the one dealership told me that i have a bent or dented drive shaft, even though i have only had the vehicle for six months. and i have never hit anything, taken the vehicle off road or ran over anything to dent or bend this drive shaft. the dealership notified me this was an impact problem and that it is not covered under warranty and that i would have to replace the drive shaft at a cost of approximately. $800. i just bought the car six months. ago and i don't feel i should be liable for damages that were not caused by myself. my doors also lock by themselves repeatedly and all four dealers said they fixed the problem but they still lock by themselves. the engine runs like the car is about seven or eight years old.  view

The seat belt failed to properly restrain my child, due to the way it was designed. my daughter was in the second row of the minivan with the right-side captains chair moved over to configure the row into a bench. the seat belt, however was still attached over by the door with no other attachment available, so there is a gap between the seat and where the seat belt is attached. my daughter was properly buckled in, and she is 105 lbs. and almost 5 feet tall. however, when we were hit from the side, she slid right off the seat and onto the floor between the seat and the door with the buckle still around her. in addition, my seat belt (driver's) failed to restrain me. it pulled all the way out.  view

I have a 1999 pontiac bonneville. the car would not start and i had it towed to dobbs. dobbs investigated and found that the upper plenum had warped. thereby causing the starter to fail and antifreeze to get into the engine. pontiac knew about this problem and corrected it on the year 2000 model. however, they did not do a recall and left us poor saps to have to pay for the repairs ourselves. since my car is out of warranty, they have said that it is my own problem. i am out of pocket $1,046.96 plus $40 towing fee for a problem they knew about and didn't recall. i wish to be reimbursed.  view

A 2001 east manufacturing framless dump truck's hydraulic cylinder system failed while the vehicle was unloading gravel on a flat concrete pad. the failure of the cylinder occurred at the fourth cylinder, it broke into two pieces, causing the trailer to fail onto the truck's cab. the cylinder was manufactured by the parker hannifin corp. the incident caused injury to the driver and property damage.  view
