The middle seat must be moved forward to make room for people in back seat, when this is done, middle seats belts are not long enough.

Vehicle is a 1993 bmw 740 which was subject to an engine recall in september of 1996 at 67,000 miles. immediately and since that time, the car has experienced documented oil leaks on the following dates: 10/1996, 12/1996, 5/1999, 6/1999, 3/2000, 6/2001, 10/2001, 1/2002, 5/2002, 7/2002, 2/2003. there are other incidents of oil leaks not documented. fairfax bmw, of fairfax virginia was the service station for each of these incidents. most of the time the source of the problem could not be detected or it was a guess that the oil gasket was faulty (the oil gaskets were replaced at least three times, in which the car was in the shop more than two days for each replacement). february 2003, the car is leaking oil again. fairfax bmw will charge more than $4500 for this repair if we choose to bring it in again. we are trying to take another approach to solving this problem by contacting you. the car has 98,000 miles on it (11,000 miles in five and a half years). we have written and called to bmw headquarters in nj three times. their response is that its not their problem and the engine had at most, a one-year warranty and they said they were sorry. the car sits in the garage because we fear the oil spray around the engine will cause a fire if we use it regularly for long periods of time.  view

The consumer stated anytime the vehicle came to a stop at an intersection, stop sign, light or uneven pavement, the anti-lock brakes engaged, which caused the brakes to momentarily fail.  view

My 1997 ford f150 with 4.2l v-6 manifold gasket failed which caused coolant to leak into cylinders. without any warning, at cold start the coolant in the cylinders caused pistons/rod to break and engine suddenly began loud knocking and pouring white smoke out of exhaust. this truck has been meticulously maintained and has never been driven hard. local repair shop says the local machine shop they use for rebuilds has seen at least 24 of these engines since january 1st, 2003! estimates to rebuild or replace this engine range from $2,000 to $4,000. we have not yet decided what to do - scared to get new engine from ford because same problem may still be present.  view

The lights on the dash board were too bright, which blinded the consumer when driving at night. also the engine light illuminated. the consumer stated the steering system on the vehicle required high effort to turn the steering wheel when cornering, vehicle course corrections, and holding the steering wheel in one position, which caused injuries. the rear side view mirrors, block the consumer's view of the oncoming lane and felt that the sensor should be at eye level, the a/c ports on the dash blow on the operator's fingers and or shoulders and caused serious distractions, the horn is hard to find (specifically for the elderly), there was a wind noise in the back doors, a rattle in the front strut, and a rumbling noise had come from the heater blower. scc  view

1999 chrysler t&c with 80,000 miles. tie rod loose $200, alternator tension rusted $200, strut covers rusting $900. these and the general poor quality rating of this vehicle has cost me thousands in trade-in value and placed my family in jeopardy.  view
