1992 GMC C15 User Comment / Complaint

There is a problem with the windshield wiper motor for about a month. the consumer has to hit on the motor in order for the wipers to operate. the consumer purchased new wind shield wipers for the cost of $88.13 because it was not covered by recall.  view

2001 acura tl transmission failure. without warning, the car died while accelerating from a stop (red-light). i was almost rear-ended by the vehicle behind me. my vehicle is only two years old with 31,000 miles. after the incident, i was able to drive the car very slowly. i went straight to acura dealer, who stated the transmission was defective and needed to be replaced. while no one was injured in this specific incident, the defective acura transmissions have the potential to cause serious injuries.  view

Automatic transmission failure - vehicle started to skip when shifting from 1st gear to second gear. took it to the dealer and was told i was 200 miles out of warranty and they could not fix it under warranty (even though i had been having problems for a month before that and hadn't time to get in to get it looked at). was told that other transmissions were also failing, but dodge would not do anything. i am a former chrysler employee, as is my father. always been loyal to chrysler products, but after this, i can't tell enough people to buy foreign and not domestic - cheap quality and poor customer service. they sell you a vehicle and the problems are yours - too bad. finally got some help from the chrysler corporate center michigan.first dealer said "passing cable was problem, then later on found transmission was fault. a rebuilt one was installed, and now that too is having problems. this vehicle is used only to go to and from work and around town. no heavy hauling, heavy towing (do haul push mower and hand trimmer, rake, etc) or any heavy driving. truck is maintained on schedule - treated with care like a kid.  view

Entire instrument panel (fuel, temp, speedometer, tachometer and odometer displays) failed during cold weather. multiple reports of the same problem can be found via a google newsgroup search.  view

Vehicle experienced loss of power steering when turning left at very low speeds. ph  view

Defective horn switch in steering wheel/air bag. ph  view

Engine running hot/over heating due to coolant leak. the leak was caused by faulty intake manifold gasket.  view

Accelerator in a ford explorer sport trac engaged without driver input causing the vehicle to rapidly accelerate into another vehicle. brakes were applied but were unable to prevent the crash - air bags deployed causing the engine to shut off thus stopping the vehicle.  view
