1987 SUBARU GL User Comment / Complaint

Had a flat tire for the first time since we purchased vehicle. the spare has been in the carrier since the pick up was new, we bought from the original owner, we know them personally. the spare tire had 8 ribs cut into the tire from the carrier. the tire was in the correct position, with the correct air pressure, and tight in the carrier. the tire was worn badly enough that it is unsafe to use. there is no way to know that this has happened until you have a flat tire and have to use the spare. the tire will have to be replaced. we are going to contact ford or a dealer and see what they will do to correct this problem. dt  view

When it is humid or raining the wipers may or may not work. they start then won't stop or don't start at all.the dealers i've been to two say there was a recall for my year truck but not from the plant mine was built at. please nail these bastards before someone gets hurt badly. thankyou. dt  view

I have seen this same complaint by numerous people, nhtsa graph of gasket failures shows thousands for 1993 3.8l sables/taurus. is there any recourse? help!! dt  view

Cooling system design let engine overheat at low speed. dt  view

While driving the brakes were squeaking and vibrating excessively. the vehicle was checked by the dealer who advised the consumer that the chevrolet malibu brake components have to be replaced every 15000-20000 miles. the consumer stated that another repair facility repaired the brakes. the consumer didn't want parts that would fail every 15 to 25k miles.  view

While driving and with no warning anti lock brakes will lock up while consumer is pressing accelerator pedal. it will be hard for consumer to control vehicle. dealer notified.  view

Accelerter is not working properly. when trying to pull into a parking space vehicle accelerated up as soon as consumer gently applied accelerater, and vehicle ran into a few other vehicles before coming to a stop. contacted dealer, and the dealer has checked vehicle, but could not find cause of problem.  view

Defective module componet, window motor and door locks. i have had problems with automatic electrical components. dt  view

This vehicle has the same timing gear and chain defect as mentioned in recall 02 v 226 000. however, this vehicle not included in recall due to vin. dealer replaced part.  view
