1987 SUBARU GL User Comment / Complaint

Repeated and constant engine failure. transmission failure. car has been serviced for almost 100 days in less than 2 years of ownership. vehicle currently being serviced.  view

Catch for front drivers seatbelt failed. catch cracked and would not lock.  view

The engine fan cooling system has created a constant vibration of the vehicle. they attempted to fix it with brackets, but it continues to vibrate. i have had this vehicle in ten times for this problem. they basically said they know about the problem, but have no other fixes for it. the van vibrates in park, or when idling with the brake on. it is worse when the air is running. i went to an arbitrator and was told even though the problem still continues, they wouldn't replace the vehicle, because it was only repaired once! they only offered me an extended warranty at no cost to me. i just want the vibration to stop. it is very annoying. after spending alot of money on this vehicle, i would like a smooth ride.  view

Abs / traction control module failed which resulted in loss of abs and traction control. it has come to my attention that this is a common safety issue with volvos. my mechanic from pro volvo (tele# 732-303-0770)claims he changes 2 abs modules every week. the dealership even stocks 14 of these modules in its inventory. the repair is also not cheap at approx. $650.00. mr  view

My neon has 16,000 miles on it and the tires have screeched since i ibought the car. the dealership said that is normal in rainy weather. well the weather is no longer rainy and chrysler refuses to stand behind their brakes. they told me i need new brakes shoes and the rotors shaved and they even charged me to tell me that. mr  view

Horn does not work, and airbag sensor light is on. consumer feels airbag may or may not depoy. can't warn other drivers. cause unknown. please provide any further information.  view

The driver's side view mirror assembly came loose at the swivel post. this allowed the mirror to move back against the side of the vehicle driver's side window when in forward motion. when stopping or moving backward, the mirror moves to the full forward position. it is almost impossible (and highly dangerous) to drive the vehicle with a malfunctioning mirror. i have had to temporarily tape the mirror in place to the door in order to drive. the vehicle will not pass virginia safety inspection.  view

Fuel rail leaks, olds dealer can not get part from gmc. dealer saw 3 failures last month.  view
