1993 GMC C SERIES(LIGHT) User Comment / Complaint

Battery keeps going out while driving or when at idle, and could cause an accident. cause unknown. dealer notified.  view

Shortly after a brake repair consumer noticed both front calipers being loose. calipers were tightened by dealer, but keep getting loose.  view

Front brakes are wearing out unevenly, one side more than the other.contacted dealer.  view

General grabber ap, lt 235r8516 e4; right front sidewall ruptured. consumer noticed what appeared to be a egg shape in front of tire if rupture woud break the brake line. please provide any further information.  view

Headlights flicker or may go out completely with no warning. dealership has had vehicle in for repairs, twice with condition still existing. please describe details.  view

Fuel pump within the fuel tank shows signs of electrical shortage and melted wires. this condition could result into a fire within fuel tank. dealer and manufacturer have been notified.  view

While driving at any speed and with no warning, while making a turn, can hear a loud clicking noise in steering column. dealer notified.  view

Tire seam blew out, in a perfect circumference, accompanied by profuse smoke. extremely dangerous situation since i could not see what was happening to my car due to the smoke. i thought i blew a gasket. brought tire to firestone dealer, where they did a soap test. no punctures were there except the complete breakdown of the seam on the outside of tire. they replaced it, however, they replaced it with anotherk wilderness tire. in thye 28 years of driving i have had, i have never experienced a blow out like this, or even seen one. the degree of smoke, and perfect failure of the seam point to a problem worthy of your investigation., please notify me, in kind, of the procedure you will under take to insure that the thousands of people driving the new 2000 outback equiped with the wilderness tires will be safe from harm. i believe with all my heart that there is a serious problem here. thank you for your assistance and support in this matter.  view

At 70208 miles dealer replaced water pump at my cost, again at 91000 miles dealer to replace water pump, after complaining to gm dealer agreed to warranty parts and labor. 2 water pumps in 91000 miles! #2 brakes at 48911 dealer replaced front disc and warped rotors. again at 91000 dealer says rotors are warped again and replaced, both times at my cost. 2 sets of rotors in 91000 miles! neither time were the rotors visually damaged or worn from disc pads.  view
