We have been told by mckinney dodge in mckinney, texas that we have an intake leak on our manifold. we have made arrangements with our mechanic to have this fixed. i went to the west loop dodge in ft. worth and picked up the manifold gasket kit from the parts department. upon reading the insert it stated that the new bolts are now 1/2 inch longer and that the gasket itself is now thicker as well. also with speaking with our mechanic, he informed us that we are the second truck in the past two weeks that has had the same problem. he was even able to tell us exactly where our leak was before inspecting it. this seems to me that dodge has been aware of this problem and instead of recalling their defect in their product, they made changes to the gaskets and bolt sizes and are now charging over $600 to have this repaired. i feel that this should be considered a defect in their product and dodge should be responsible for paying the bill and not the consumer that has purchased their product.

I noticed a fairly large patch of oil beneath my truck when vehicle had been idle for a day or so. i crawled beneath vehicle and determined that a leak of some magnitude was occurring somewhere on the engine. notified dealership where vehicle serviced, but not purchased from. all service has been conducted at listed dealership. they determined that i had blown the rear main seal of the engine, and would require substantial repair. during the course of that repair, it was further detemined that the oil pan gasket was also in need of replacement. this more than doubled the repair cost to this vehicle. i am not particlulary mechanically inclined toward cars or trucks, but do consistantly maintain those that i am responsible for, and i have the documentation to verify that.. i drive my truck hard, but i don't abuse it. i feel that the amount of repair required for a vehicle that is less than three years old is way out of line. thank you.

We have a 2 year old boy that slid the chest harness apart. (it is easy) to take off his chest protector in the car seat. he was sitting in the back seat of the car beacuse of front air bags. he then rolled down the window because i forgot to lock the windows out again. he then had his head and shoulders out the window. all this happened in a matter of seconds. i had to pull the vehicle over and have my older son sit in the back with him. the chest clip on the cosco touriva slids apart on one side easily. then the child can take the strap off the shoulders and pull themselves up and out. it is not a safe design for a curious toddler. also on my century it has the same clip. they both have overhead pads to put their arms on. i hope this problem can be investigated. thanks.

Two (2) problems: if engine fails, for any reason, car must come to a complete stop, placed in park, to restart engine. in traffic this is an extremely dangerous condition. second, engine quits under hard braking when there is less than 4 gal fuel remaining. yes, fuel filter replaced. yes, no water in fuel system. please assist.8jb

Dealer replaced wheel bearing at 29,000 miles under warranty. went bad again 30,000 miles later, even though owners manual states that it doesn't need serviced until 60,000 miles. dealer said that we drove on it too long and damaged the hub and housing, $700 repair bill. dealer said that they had been having a lot of problems with these bearings and they replaced it with a legacy bearing. service manager stated that we were 'lucky' to only have had bearing fail twice. we feel, after research, that it is a design problem and there needs to be a recall by subaru to fix this problem and we should be reimbursed for our expense.

When following this vehicle in bright sun it is impossible to see the brake lights or the turn signal lights on the back of the vehicle. the sun just washes then out. they need to be mounted vertically and not on a slope as they are now.

My dashboard cracked on the passenger side right on the seam of the air bag system it is continuing to crack on both sides of the seams. i have reported this to the dealer and to daimler chrysler. my answer from them was to go to a junk yard and buy a dashboard.i tried several shops to get this repaired and no one would touch it because of the liability.i do not feel safe not knowing if the bag will deploy right in case of an accident . the repair shops i took it to said this is not the first one they have seen on this model and thought it should be reported to you.
