1991 FORD FIESTA User Comment / Complaint

Vehicle has stalled twice unexpectedly while traveling at 35 and 60 mph. dealership has not examined the vehicle to determine a cause for this problem. please provide any additional information / attachments.  view

Vehicle stalls at any speed, had stalled about 40 times. dealer determined it was an ignition problem.  view

Front driver's side tire was low, took off tire to have it checked for a leak. consumer then noticed inside lip of rim was broken, 9 inches long. mitsubishi refused to replace rim.  view

While driving 40 mph, vehicle suddenly accelerated up to 70 mph. consumer applied brakes, but it did not slow vehicle. vehicle went through a red light, engine roaring and rpms in red. consumer steered to side of road and applied park brake, pulled key from ignition and jumped out of vehicle. engine continued to roar for 2-3 minutes then stalled, black smoke from the exhaust. 6 weeks prior to this dealer did $ 7200.00 of engine work. dealer determined the acceleration was caused by a jammed fuel injector pump.  view

Rear wiper motor failed at approximately 25,000 miles. replacement motor failed in less than two weeks. dealer acknowledged that there is a known problem with explorer rear wiper motor failures but stated that ford has not acknowledged the problem nor have they made a redesigned wiper motor available.  view

Consumer touched brakes to slow vehicle down, but vehicle swerved, and consumer hit another vehicle. consumer stateed brakes squeaks and parking brake needs adjustment, transmission is making noise, no power on acceleration, upper windshield molding failed and reinstalled, noise is coming from right front wheel, gas gauge will fluctuate at times and front engine mount broke.  view

Airbag light is on. vehicle taken to dealer 5 times. dealer cannot solve problem. consumer states that the throttle stuck on vehicle while driving in heavy traffic when vehicle only had 8193 miles on it, dealer replaced throttle body and air intake, throttle stuck again at 28104 miles, dealer replaced same parts. pittman arm was replaced.  view
