1995 GMC C15 User Comment / Complaint

Whenever brakes were applied rear calipers would freeze up and pads would grind into rotors. mechanic replaced old calipers with new and different design that t manufacturer had offered.  view

Lever to release front seat on side had squeezed child's fingers as child was entering rear seat of extended cab. this caused fingers to be sliced open.  view

Loud clunking noise when shifting auto transmission into drive or reverse from park. serviced transmission fluid and oilchange @150,590m, at which time attendant @ svc. station informed me that two motor mounts were broken/missing, and that immediate service of components was necessary. drove vehicle home(5 miles) and parked. vehicle responded marginally to transmission fluid change, but stalled upon slowing to stop or turn. engine appears to be free-floating in compartment, and resulting misalignment causes frequent stalling.  view

Medford engine gasket blewout, and coolant ran from undernea vehicle.also, there was a noise coming from front of the vehicle due to bearings being defective. dealership was aware of problems.  view

Vehicle was going 50-55 mph and consumer noticed road was feeling rough and uneven. left front tire suddenly blewout. there were no signs before it happened. consumer has a 1997, grand cherokee, aftermarket tires with 24000 miles on them, and size p225/75r15. tire was a firestone wilderness ht, dot number vdhhawr 179.  view

While using windshield wipers and without any indication windshield wipers would stop working. dealer has been contacted.  view

While driving at approximately 35 mph both bottom rear cradle mounts failed due to corrision, causing motor to fall and disconnect steering mechanism, resulting in a crash. consumer contacted gmc, and gmc insisted that consumer's vehicle did not fall under recall 00v189000 because it was manufactured after specified date. front mounts also showed indication of failure.  view

While driving the right rear outside tire blew out, it ripped a 4 inch strip off the mud flap, knocked out the right rear tailight and pigtail wiring (ohio traffic crash report). nlm  view
