Took vehicle into dealership because engine' check light on; dealer removed fuel tank found that pressure line is seeping fuel from around it. replaced fuel pump module; reset 'check engine' light returned vehicle to me. date: 04/24/01. next . took car to dealership because 'check engine' light was on . dealer reset 'check engine' light and said could not find source of problem ; said system checked ok. returned car to me. i took car directly across the street from dealership to mobil gas station, filled-up gas tank, and fuel immediately began leaking from car from gas tank area; called dealership back , they sent technician to gas station to drive car back to dealership. next day they called me and told me, fuel pump module seal on top of gas tank was leaking; removed and replaced leaking fuel pump module seal. returned car to me. date: 07/03/01. view

The oil pan is completely rusted to the point that it made a hole right through the steel, causing the oil to seep through. upon calling the ford co. last week, i was told by the rep. that the rust was coming from the outside of the oil pan and that it wasn't ford's problem. i then called a few garages and they all told me that they're having a lot of problems with corroded oil pans on f150 pickups and that ford does not want to admit that this is a serious problem. they told me that ford should be completely responsible for such a major problem. i would appreciate it very much if you could look into this and let me know if there will be a recall. this should never happen with a 6 year old pickup with only 58,000 miles on it, especially with the oil pan. again, this a very serious problem and can be very dangerous if it's not taken care of right away. thank you. view

Patricia nadel was driving alone at the time of the incident. our neighbors have a gate on our 1/4 mile long driveway. we have to open it to proceed through. patty put the jeep in "park" and then got out to open the gate. when she reached the gate, all of a sudden the jeep lurched into "reverse" and sped backwards approximately 200 feet until it hit the neighbor's flatbed trailer and came to rest. a 6 inch deep gauge from the corner of the trailer dug into the rear door of the jeep, along the driver's side, through the back driver's side door and also through the driver's door. thus causing $6,000 worth of damage . this happened to her once before, a few months back, when she was getting out of the car, and at that time she was able to jump back in and stop the car. at that time she thought she had perhaps not put the gear shift all the way in park, so forever after that first incident, when stopping, she has first put it in park, and then jiggled it slightly to make sure it was firmly in park. that is what she did at this present incident. view

The vehicle pulsates when applying brakes, consumer was informed that the rear brakes were inoperable and were replaced, calipers were overhauled, front rotors were resurfaced, also rear rotors were resurfaced. view

Passenger's side mirror will not stay adjusted. consumer has taken it into dealer about 15 times for electrical problems. after adjusting mirror, and turning away, and when looking at mirror again, consumer may be looking at the sky. consumer feels this is unsafe because when changing lanes, driver doesn't know if another car is coming or not. also, door locks, will lock consumer out of vehicle. when vehicle is first started in the morning, it feels like it is turning on 6 cylinders. door locks do not work properly, sliding door has been opened while vehicle has been in motion, remote unlock button inoperable. power window needed adjusted. consumer states there is a loud noise in the front of the vehicle, dealer has made adjustments to front and rear caster, camber, and toe in. dash blinks in and out, dealer found grounds to battery were corroded. center vent on dash will not stay in place. front rotors out of round twice, rear rotors out of round once, front brake pads worn. battery shorted. view
