Evenflo model #235419p2, dom 02-may-1996, while raising shield arm to put child in, bot0m springs popped out of locking mechanism of seat.  view

When driving at 15-20 mph rear driver's side axle broke about 3-5 inches from the tire. consumer has taken the vehicle to the dealer. please provide any further details.  view

Cosco model# 02-019 wal, dom 3-8-00/ plastic arms of overhead shield broke off while consumer was lifing the shield up.  view

When driving and applying brakes to make a normal stop, brake pedal was very hard/brakes failed to respond,causing extended stopping distance, and resulting in an accident.  view

The head gasket was replaced by the dealer on 3-16-01, due to a crack and leaking coolant. the car had never overheated or shown obvious signs of this, although the engine check light came on after long trips and the dealer said this was o2 sensors. 3 weeks after the headgasket replacement, the whole engine blew while on i-81 at 65mph. we lost all power and had to coast to a narrow shoulder. this sounds exactly like the 1995 windstar head gasket problem, but they have not acknowledged the 96 as a manufacturing defect and did not recall the 95 either.  view

My concern is that ford may have defaulted fuel tanks for this car model. i did not run over anything, or do anything to cause my fuel tank to leak gas. the leak is right on the seam in the middle of the tank, where the manufacturer had put it together. i fill up my tank one day and notice gas pouring out from underneath. i have no idea how long it was leaking before i noticed it, therefore i was driving around a timebomb just waiting to blow up. by the simple act of someone flicking a cigarette out of their window, or if someone ran into me. my car could blow up at any time. that is why i am writing this complaint to prevent such death from happening. thank you very much for your time.  view

There are multiple models of the same car that have the same failure, please issue a recall asap, this is not an isolated incedent. no safety defect mentioned.  view

Consumer states when he returned to vehicle, he noticed that headlights were on, when he opened the door the light switch was on is off position, and at that time, that is when he noticed smoke coming from the steering column, consumer disconnected the battery which stopped the smoke, consumer removed the malfunctioned switch that shorted out, and has since replaced the switch.  view
