1994 GMC G25 User Comment / Complaint

Cruise control automatically engaged without anyone activating the cruise control device, whatever speed that was accelerated to was automatically engaged with the cruise control, when the brakes were applied the cruise control did not disengage as it should.  view

Engine needs replaced.  view

Consumer was traveling about 15mph inside of a shopping parking lot and there was thumping noise underneath vehicle when applying brakes. vehicle brakes didn't hold. brake loss was due to speed sensor failure and was replaced. wiper noise was due to wiper motor failure which the dealer replaced.  view

Premature wear of brake pads. dealer has replaced three sets of pads.  view

Hydraulic line rusted through, causing consumer to lose brakes. consumer had to use emergency brakes to get home.  view

The firestone tires on the vehicle experienced failure, however not included in the recall (oot-005).  view

Car was squawking and vibrating especially when brake is applied. i took it to an independent mechanic. he told me that lower control arms is badly worn out and the gmc should replace it free since it is the most safety part of the car. so i called gmc consumer section and talked to one adviser ms. gloria. (ref.#03027319) she insisted that gm will not cover it. i believe it as unfair and must be covered. earlier i made a report to nhtsa (odi-740067) since it was a safety issue i took the car to les stanford chevrolet in dearborn mi and got both the control arms repaired. they charged me about 650.00 dollars.(tel# 313-565 6000) will you please help me for gm to refund the money.  view

Vehicle's steering wheel is off center, steering does not return to center, steering drifts right and left at all speeds, constantly have to correct steering wheel while driving vehicle. steering gear box seams to be to sensitive as you have to constantly work at keeping the vehicle on your side of the road. it has the same symptons on all road surfaces. i had this vehicle back to dodge country on 4 separate occasions to have this problem resolved and they tell me everything is with-in specs.i would appreciate your help in investigating this matter as this vehicle is hard to drive this way. thanks for your help, jim.  view

Brakes continuously lock, which causes tires to lock and the car skids and pitches forward. our door locks are broken and the bottom portion of the back seat is coming out from the floor. when we purchased the car, we asked the salesperson (tim white) if the car was in good condition and if this was a rental car. he said" it had one owner." when i repeated this to the manager last week, he said it did. he stated that the owner was the rental company in florida. then i pointed out to the manager that one owner did not mean one driver. with it being a rental car it has had many drivers some not so careful as others. if i had been inforrmed of the cars true history and condition, i would never have purchased this automobile.
