Widshield wipers start unexpectedly ,cycle between 1 and 3 times can find no patteren at this time i do beleive some are caused by turning on directional lights. some time just going down smooth stright road they will start. when they do cycle it is not at fast rate. concerned it could be short some place in steering column.  view

Once or twice a month, every month, for the last year i would go out and get in the vehicle to start it up. when i turned on the ignition the motor would crank and crank but it would never fire. i would let the vehicle set a few minutes then try again with the same results. if i let the vehicle sit until the next day it would finally start. the vehicle again dump me a parking lot in portmouths, va with the same problem.. i had the vehicle towed to john kool lincoln/mercury. the vehicle started for them the next day and again after many trys. they said they could not find a problem at this time so i came to pick the vehicle up from the dealer. the vehicle then would crank but would not fire. the dealer service tech. then ran a few manual & equip. test and determined the ignition module and distributor stator assy. have a internal short. the dealer replaced them and re tested to verify operation.  view

I have had this truck for just over a year now. i have had issues from day one. there has been a constant shimmy in the front end. tires balanced, rebalanced and balanced again. this did not solve the problem. the tire manufacture recommends 30 psi in the tires. the isuzu people ask for 26 psi...at this pressure the vibration get worse...the tires squeal and the truck feels out of control if on a rough road. the truck is under sprung and if the tires are inflated to 30 psi is is almost undrivable. makes me think of the ford/firestone issue. might be a problem. the tires wear too quickly...balanced,aligned no help. dealer tells me this is how the truck is. the other major issue is the oil use...this truck will use, lose somewhere, 1 qt per 500 miles or so. dealer tells me to check the oil level at every fuel-up....i feel this is bull. purchased a new truck so i would do regular scheduled maintence. my biggest concern is the tires and lack of control. i can get nowhere to solve my problems with isuzu. While driving downhill with the cruise control engaged, the vehicle sometimes will accelerate above the entered speed setpoint. when the brakes are engaged or the speed control is switched off, the vehicle will slow down. this is not an issue with going downhill at too steep of an angle. when the speed control has been shut off, then the vehicle readily slowed down due to braking effect each time. this has happened twice, and each time speed built rapidly to over 90 mph.  view
