1995 GMC C SERIES(LIGHT) User Comment / Complaint

Tire tread was delaminating from the core. happened at 33617 miles on initial tire and then again on second tire at 39539 miles. replaced all tires except the spare at that point. this tire has not been included in the firestone recall at this point.( dot number: n/a tire size: lt245/75r1 )  view

Sharp edges at left front inner fender and cowl seam rubbed holes in all air brake lines, design flaw. nlm  view

I would like nitsa to conduct an investigation into bulletin #87-71-75. in accordance with pursuant to 49usc' 30162 and 49cfr part 522. my dealer and pontiac motor division of genernal mortors would not change the control valve body assembly that is failing in my bonneville, because their excuse is that i did not purchase this car new even though this car is only nine months out of warranty and only had 34,150 miles on it. even though they know they manufactured a defective part and do not want to repair it. i do not feel that i should have to pay for a defective part that they installed at the factory. thank you for your time. john g. hammel.  view

On the 21st april 2000 while doing 70mph on the freeway leaving el paso we felt a thud under the car and then we veered to the left. i managed to keep the car under control and made it to the hard shoulder. i got out and inspected the car and the tread had come off my back/left tire and was scattered along the freeway. a police car arrived and escorted us to a firestone service centre in el paso where we had all four tires replaced. the damaged tire was replaced free of charge by the garage. it was a very frightening experience as my wife and i were travelling with our four children. i have no idea what type of firestone tyres were on the car but as the accident mirrors those described in the recent newspaper reports i am assuming that they were the ones being recalled.( dot number: )  view

When applying brakes, vehicle stops and then jumps ahead, almost causing collisions.  view

Egr valve pipe has a crack, consumer feels dealer should pay for this repair due to the number of miles on the vehicle.  view
