Right rear tire disintegrated while driving approximately 5:30 pm 08/18/2000 on south florida's alligator alley, no injuries or car damage. changed tire with spare and going to dealer to replace all tires now. weather conditiions were overcast, speed was approximately 70 mph. tires filled to 30 psi recommendation by firestone/ford( dot number: )  view

Firestone at tires were wearing unevenly and causing vehicle to pull hard to the right, consumer purchased new tire for the left front side and put the spare on the right and doing that immediately solved the problem, it appeared that the belts had slipped on the front tires which caused them to wear and pull the vehicle, consumer had tires replaced with wilderness ht which were made in decatur plant and wants them replaced with tires from another plant. nlm  view

Consumer's oil light came on, took to dealer and had engine cleaned, engine locked up on busy expressway, dealer said engine had gunked up and needed to be replaced, oil tested positive for glycol and antifreeze, consumer thinks this is possibly due to the head gaskets.  view

Consumer received recall (oot-005) and went to have inspection completed, dealer noticed signs of cracking and said that the tires were included in the recall, however replacement tires were not available, consumer had tires replaced at a goodyear dealership and wants full reimbursement for expense.  view
