1995 GMC C SERIES(LIGHT) User Comment / Complaint

When applying brakes vehicle will accelerate, cause unknown. please give any further details.  view

Tire tread is separating from steel belt of tire. consumer has a 1991, toyota pickup. used vehicle tires were already on them. approximate mileage 15,000. tire size & dot unknown. fireston/bridgestone dealer just confirmed that tire wasn't part of a problem.  view

Tread has begun to separate from tire caseing. hairline split is now visable where tread is bonded to tire cassing. other tires still not affected. dealer, and chevrolet refuse to replace. say this tire not affected by defect. gm claims there tires made to higher standard. then those for ford. i have small children, and feaar for there saftey in the vehicle. please order a recall of these tires. 3 tires have cracked at the seam of the bead thus causing sidewall to separate from bead, 2 of the tires have already been replaced, one still currently on truck and goodyear won't correct defective tire. (dot number: m670ckor48 tiresize: p24575r16)  view

I have a 1992 ford crown victoria. we took a trip to fl and on the way back home to sc i hhad the the cruise control on. we was on i95 and all of a sudden the gas peddel just went straight to the floor. my car would not slow down or stop. the cruise control would not turn off. we reached very high speeds at time and the traffic was bad. the only way we stopped was that my husband truned the key off and we coasted by the time we did stop my brakes was smoken. this is not suppose to happen. we let the car cool for a while then checked the brakes and got back on the road and with in the next 5 min it did it again. we didn't even turn on the cruise control this time. but it acted like it was on. so we had to turn the key off again and coast. if we put it in n the engine just reved up really high. finaly my husband found the fuse for the cuise control and took it out. we did get home safley but if this would have happend on a regular road other then i95 i dont know what would have happen. so is there a recall on this. i have found in the owners connection that there is a recall on my car for a speed control. is this the same.?? when i called the 1800 number they said ther was not such recall. ??? why?? if it is listed why is there not recall? the recall number is nhtsa recall no 99v124/ford recall no. 99s15. please contact me either way? this was very scarry. i dont know what i would have done if my husband had not been in the car. thank you rox ann  view

Horn hasn't been working since vehicle was purchased. fuse was replaced, but didn't remedy the problem. dealer clamed that in different weather &temperatures it will not work. vehicle stalled on 2 different occasions. dealer said it was the battery & alternator the 1st time. 2nd time dealer indicated fuel pump went out.consumer had to cover the cost & felt that they should been able to detect this when they did the diagnostic reading a month ago.  view
