1995 GMC C SERIES(LIGHT) User Comment / Complaint

Pe-00-020, tire size p225/75r15; tires are wide white walls, 3 out of 4 tires have been replaced. consumer noticed when driving there was a vibration in the front end, bumps were noted on the tires. contacted a tire repair shop, and tire inspector noted that tread was peeling away from the tires. firestone p225/75/r15 the customer had 3 firestone fr721 failed prematurely by tread separation and had replaced them with 3 identical firestone tires. eventhough the tires are in good condition now.  view

Pe-00-020; p215/75r15, wide whitewall tires; 1 out of 4 tires was replaced, dot number not available. consumer noticed when driving that vehicle was vibrating in the front end, notice bumps on the tires contacted a tire company, inspector noticed that tread was separating. a total of 5 tires have experienced tread separation. dot #'s vdhef7u192 & ejr103m066.  view

Less than 5,000 miles, firestone wilderness at p23575r16. consumer was driving at approximately 70 mph in 90 degree weather when right rear tire tread came completely off, even after consumer checked tire pressure.prior to incident consumer did heard a humming noise. also, it looked like a retread tire.  view

Consumer has a 1998 ford f150 with the original tires. both front tires had tread separation & were replaced with same brands, tire size p235/70r16. dot# w2081pt326. approximate mileage 45,000. tires were replaced before recall was annouced.  view
