1994 BMW 530 User Comment / Complaint

Driver had lost control of vehicle hit a telephone pole head-on with a 50-65 mph impact, and then drove into a field . upon impact, dual airbags did not deploy, but seatbelts were on at the time. as a result, passenger had cracked sternum,and driver had mild whiplash.please provide further information.  view

When hit from rear in a low impact crash seat tracks and anchor reclineing mechanism failed, causing seat back to collapse. dealer has been contacted.  view

On a camping trip i awoke on the morning of 9/30/00 to find the right front tire flat. i installed the spare and when i got home secured replacement goodyear tires and commenced to install them. prior to demounting the right front i inflated it to determine where the air was escaping. it appeared to be escaping in an area between the tread pattern. when i demounted the tire i inspected the interior and could see no evidence of a penetration wound and could find no type of foreign object. in my two years working at a tire installation facility (sears) i never encountered a failure of this nature. needless to say with the events of the past several months at firestone and my subsequent tire failure my confidence in the firestone tire company has been seriously eroded. firestone is now recalling some sixteen inch tires but as yet have not included the 235/85 steeltex. i was curious to know if any failures of my size tire have been brought to your attention. thank you for your time. sincerely richard neitzel. I am told that these tires are not currently on the recall list. i am not comfortable with any information firestone has released. they have been deceptive in their product notification disclosures. i want these tires off of my car before i too suffer a fatal accident.( dot number: tire size: p205 65r15 )  view

Whiile traveling noticed oil indicator light. dealer stated vehicle has a bad oil seal. oil seal popped out. the vehicle has defective wiring in audio equipment.  view

Have replaced the ignition switch 3 times since january 1996. the switch has a position that controls the turn signals and windshield wipers. one of the failure modes i have experienced allows the car to start and run put disconnects the turn signals and wipers. i find this out in traffic when i need those elements. audi will not acknowledge this problem, but i notice the latest switch seems to have been strengthened where it was breaking previously. i find it hard to believe that i'm the only audi owner who has experienced failures with this switch.  view
