1995 GMC C15 User Comment / Complaint

All four brake rotors have rusty pitted surfaces. the right rear is almost totally pock marked with pits and causes the car to pulsate and shake severely when the brakes are applied. the anti-lock brake system has been repaired previously three times for faulty sensors or wiring.  view

Problem appears to be prevalent with this yr., make, model, dealer will not warranty part. no safety defect indicated within summary.  view

The cable on the driver's side automatic shoulder belt dropped out of the chamber and the shoulder belt anchorage became stuck. i have previously taken my 1993 mitsubishi mirage in to the dealer for recall nhtsa campaign number: 97v073001. the problem that this recall was designed to fix is exactly the problem that i am having. the dealer will not cover the repairs because of the 12 month, 12,000 mile warenty has expired on the recall. the problem has not been fixed and i feel i could be at risk.  view

Column lock failed in locked position, rendering car undriveable for a period of two hours, at which time the problem corrected itself. this problem is seemingly random, and without warning. i am hesitant to take the car on long trips, in fear that the column will lock and leave me stranded. can this happen while the car is moving???  view

I have small chidren who could not get out of this door in case of emergency.  view

Within days of my purchase of the 2000 s-10 pickup the problem appeared. the truck bounces like it's going over a bump everytime the vechicle starts out from a stop, it has an automatic transmission. i have taken this back to the dealer several times, they are telling me that because this truck has a two piece driveshaft and that this is how it is supposed be. i am 52 years old and have been driving chevrolet since i was 16, i've had trucks with two piece driveshafts before and never had this problem. i contacted general motors and filed a complaint and after five months they sent a regional rep out he said this is how this vechicle was designed to perform, i drove another similiar truck on the lot and it did the same thing. nothing has been done to correct this problem. i have observed the drive shaft by lying on the ground next to the truck as it starts out, you can see the drive shaft moving in the carrier bearing violently. this is of great concern because if the drive shaft should break towards the front it could cause the back of the truck to pole vault and cause a serious accident, worse at higher speeds. i will not allow anyone else to drive this truck because i feel it's a accident waiting to happen. this is very concerning because general motors will not correct this problem on any trucks let alone admit there is one. i'm hoping you will investigate this problem and work gm to get this fixed before people get killed, if it hasn't happend already. i feel that any design problem or defect with the drivetrain of any vechicle is very serious, even if i trade this truck off this will be a problem for someone else and i'm going on record with you hoping to save a life. just for your info i have been trained as a auto mechanic and worked in this field for 15 years, and have been very involved in drag racing during this time. i have been trained as a faa licensed airframe and powerplant mechanic and have worked in this field for over 20 years.  view

Airbag light does not go off. now being repaired for the 3rd time. unable to drive due to safety concerns.  view

Like so many others, the head gasket on my young neon has blown.i have also had problems with brakes squealing, power steering locking up in wet weather and the turn signal now only works when it feels like it. the radio had to be replaced the first year i owned the car - and it took the dealer nearly a month to get that done.  view
