Pin whitin the steering column broke. when putting the key into ignition, the ignition kept going around, and the consumer was able to take the key out of the ignition. but, engine kept running.  view

While driving on highway about 30-40mph on vacation vehicle failed to shift into gear, ande was engulfed with smoke. pulled over and had vehicle towed to a transmission shop. contacted dealer, and had the transmission replaced but it was not under warranty.  view

When it rains windshield wipers do not operate fast enough on high speed. not enough visibility to operate safely.  view

Due to a leak in steering gear box steering system malfunctioned and vehicle turned to the left. vehicle lost control and resulted in collision.  view

Pulling out of a parking space at 10-15 mph while raining windows fogged up, causing poor visibility. consumer was making a turn and hit a pole, and air bags did not deploy. please provide further information.  view

When the signal lights are activated there is no alert sound to let driver know that the blinker is on as there is in the older model vehicles. dealer contacted, and stated that this vehicle made that way. also, 4 way hazard flashers are silent.  view

When applying abs brakes on a slight down grade pedal resists and becomes very hard which causes extended stopping distance, cause unknown. please give any further details.  view

I was a belted front passenger ejected from belt through windsheild sustaining severe head/neck/arm and back injuries.also, had seatbelt failure with injury as well.we were struck on the right side with the left front quarter pannel of illegal left hand, turner ran off road .these guys knew this car had a safety failure and chose to sell us this car with the original seatbelts, and no contact of any kind to avoid incident.pretty rotten if you ask me.  view

Fuel leaking in engine compartment from union of rubber hose/hard plastic line supplying fuel from tank to fuel injectors. leak occurs at low (15 f) ambient temperature. fuel drips in area of ignition distributor. was alerted to potential problem by postings from other vw eurovan owners and began checking engine at start-up as weather got colder. first detected leak on january 6, 2000 with outside temp approx 15 degrees f. will attemp repair myself, replacing crimped fitting with clamp.  view
