Yes, there is an extended Toyota warrantee (8yr, 100kmi) on 1998-2000 Sienna minivan transmissions and as an owner of a 1999, I did receive a letter from Toyota about the warrantee. The bad news is that mine just failed 9 months past the warranttee period. My best efforts to get Toyota to stand behind the transmission were unsuccessful. Apparently, they are satisfied to make transmissions that only last 90,000 miles and stick their owners with the bill. Repair cost $3000. Honda just replaced the transmission in a friend's Accord for free at 139kmi. Buy a Honda.
