2000 MITSUBISHI DIAMANTE User Comment / Complaint

I currently have what is described to be a "heater core failure" in my 2000 mitsubishi diamante. i have been made aware that this issue is fairly common amongst diamantes. any time i turn on the heater, my automobile is filled with a noxious odor that i'm lead to believe might be detrimental to my health. i am also unable to defrost my windows because of this problem. this causes a dangerous driving condition as i'm forced to constantly wipe the windshield with a paper towel.

Do we ever have a lemon, starting with heater cores. It just turned a little chilly here in Atlanta GA area and I turned the heat on to warm up a bit. That day after getting out of the car I spot a wet area on the passenger side floor the sign of heater core replacement. This will be the 5TH heater core that has gone into this car. Both windows on the drivers side no longer work,the a/c is gone again, we just replaced the fuel pump, timing belt and gears. And the problems go on and on. If anyone has any info on the subject of the heater core going bad so many times, I surely would appreciate it.
