Nissan North America, Inc., a unit of Japan’s Nissan Motors, said Wednesday that it and Infiniti are conducting a voluntary recall campaign on 480 Hitch Mounted Bicycle Racks manufactured by Thule and sold at both Nissan and Infiniti dealerships before December 21, 2007.

They stated that on certain passenger vehicles that have had the body control module (BCM) replaced during service at a dealership, the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may have been inadvertently deactivated due to an issue with the dealer service software.

Nissan North America, INC. announced this week they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 Nissan Xterra. They stated that on certain continental automotive ABS and ESC control modules sold for installation on the vehicles listed above. Some of the hydraulic valves in the ESC module were built with extra check balls.
