BMW has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2007 through 2008 Mini Cooper S vehicles. They stated that the centrally located tailpipe extension protrudes slightly beyond the rear bumper. It is possible for inadvertent contact to occur with a persons leg.

2009 MINI JCW Recall

BMW has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2009 JCW (John Cooper Works) and JCW Clubman vehicles equipped with 16 inch diameter front brake discs rather than 17 inch discs. They stated that under conditions of intense brake usage, braking preformance could be reduced. Depending on traffic or road conditions , as well as a driver’s reactions, reduced brake preformance could increase the risk of a crash.

BMW of North America, LLC announced that they are recalling certain models of the Mini Cooper S. BMW says on certain convertible vehicles, they fail to conform to the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard NO. 110 ‘Tire Selection and Rims.’ The standard requires that the tire size and corresponding tire pressure be indicated on the label and the label does not correspond to the actual tire mounted on the vehicle.
