American Honda Motor Company has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 Honda VT600. They are recalling 38,934 2006-2007 VT600 and 2007-2008 VT750 and VTX1300 motorcycles. The motorcycles may have an improperly manufactured fuel control valve diaphragm and the fuel valve may drip fuel.

Honda has announced that on certain passenger vehicles and motorcycles, the owners manual contain incorrect contact information for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administrations (NHTSA) vehicle safety hotline.

They stated that on certain vehicles, the hole in the sheet metal front bulkhead that serves as the base and pivot for the hood support rod was not punched to specification. The hood support rod may fail to hold the hood in position due to insufficient strength.

Toyota’s recall of 470,000 vehicles in Japan announced recently comes as the car industry’s most admired manufacturer faces a string of setbacks.

Toyota said on Wednesday it was recalling more than 470,000 vehicles in Japan in its fifth recall this year, highlighting the carmaker’s struggle to deal with quality problems as it expands globally.

Chrysler LLC said Friday it would recall nearly 300,000 sport utility vehicles to address potential braking problems while driving uphill.

In a separate move, Honda Motor Co. said it was recalling more than 180,000 Civics from the 2006-2007 model year to fix a wheel-bearing seal that could leak and lead to a wheel falling off the car.
