GM Recalls 2008 Chevrolet HHR

GM has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 Chevrolet HHR Wagon. They stated the recall was due to a problem with the storage bin latch. During testing, a storage bin in the top center of the instrument panel failed to remain closed as required by Federal safety standards.

GM has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2006 through 2008 HHR. They stated that the HHR fails to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard No. 201, ‘Occupant protection in interior impact.” The door on the storage bin in the top center of the instrument panel failed to remain closed as required.

2008 GMC TOPKICK Recall

GM has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 C Series Chevrolet Kodiak and GMC Topkick trucks equipped with caterpillar C9 diesel engines. They stated that the fuel pump outlet check plug may be cracked which could cause fuel to spray and leak.

2008 GMC SAVANA Recall

GM has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana G- cut away fleet van equipped with a 6.0 L (RPO LY6) V8 engine, 4L8OE (RPO MT1) transmission, 4.10 (RPO GT5) axle and 75 mph governor (RPO 9D7). These vehicles have a condition in which the transmission may be damaged due to first gear engagement at highway speeds and then does not transmit power with D4 or R selected. This may be preceded by engine shutdown if the vehicle exceeds 81 miles per hour in certain conditions.

2006 GMC SAVANA Recall

GM is recalling certain models of the 2006 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana full size passenger, cargo, or cutaway vans. The front and rear seat belt buckles will not latch or not unlatch. In the event of a crash, a seat occupant may not be properly restrained increasing the risk of personal injury.
