Polaris Industries has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 550 LX Trail Touring and Trail Touring Deluxe snowmobiles. They stated that cracks could form in the starter ring gear and cause the ring gear to fracture into several peices. The peices could be propelled out of the chasis at high speed causing serious injury or death to the rider and or bystanders.

Ford Motor Co. is recalling about 100,000 2008 F-Series trucks in Canada and the United States because the front driver’s seat does not conform with strength standards for seat backs.

BMW of North America, LLC has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 BMW 550I. They stated that on certain vehicles equipped with V8 engines, in conditions of below freezing temperatures combined with low humidity, it is possible for electrostatic discharge to occur at the fuel rails.
