Gulf Stream has announced that they are recalling certain models of the 2008 through 2009 Crescendo, Yellowstone, and Tourmaster recreational vehicles equipped with SAF-Holland ADL series rear suspensions.  They stated that in some instances the transverse beam was not properly welded which could result in a failure of the weld.

If the weld fails, vehicle stability while cornering could be affected resulting in a loss of vehicle control, possibly resulting ina  crash.  In addition, the transverse beam could drop tpo the ground causing sparks that could cause a fire hazard.

Gulf Stream is working with  Diamler trucks and SAF-Holland to have a visual inspection of the ADL transverse beam preformed.  If a weld defect is identified, SAF-Holland will provide a service replacement kit that contains a new transverse beam, all necessary installation hardware, beam replacement, and instructions free of charge.  Owners may contact SAF-Holland at 1-231-773-3271, Diamler trucks at 1-800-547-0712, or Gulf Stream at 1-574-773-7761.

Monaco has announced that they are recalling certain models of the 2006 Monarch SE, 2009 Riptide, 2006 Holiday Rambler Admiral SE, 2007 through 2009 Arista, 2007 through 2009 Safari Passage, 2006 Simba and Trek Gas, and 2006 through 2007 R Vision Trail Lite and Trail Aire Motor homes built on workhorse chassis.  The castle nut that retains the steering drag link to the pitman arm may have been improperly torqued during assembly.

If the drag link were to seperate from the pitman arm, the driver would not have directional control of the vehicle possibly causing a crash.  Monaco is working with workhorse to replace and properly tighten the castle nut that retains the steering drag link to the pitman arm.  Owners may contact Workhorse at 1-877-946-7731 or Monaco at 1-800-685-6545.

Country Coach has announced that they will be recalling certain models of the 2008 through 2009 Allure, Inspire, and tribute Coaches equipped with Caterpillar C9 diesel engines.  They stated that the fuel pump outlet check plug may be cracked which could cause fuel to spray and leak.

Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a  fire.   Country Coach is working with Caterpillar.  Caterpillar will replace the fuel pump plug free of charge.  Owners may contact Caterpillar at 1-800-447-4986 or Country Coach at 1-800-452-8015.

Domestic Corporation has announced that they are recalling certain refrigerators used in motor homes and 5th wheel campers. They stated that the refrigerators have a defect that causes pressurized coolant to release. If there is a gas flame present, this could result in a deadly fire.

These refrigerators were installed in New Horizon, Scotty, Sprinter, Extreme and Kit RV, and Coachmen campers and RV’s. Domestic Corporation will repair the refrigerators for free by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse and a metal fuse. They have hired Stericycle Inc. o manage this and assist owners in finding the closest dealership. Owners may contact Domestic at 1-888-446-5157.
