Toyota has announced that they are recalling certain model year 2006 through 2008 Lexus passenger cars manufactured from August 26, 2005 through July 29, 2008. They stated that micro-foriegn objects in the material of the valve spring may degrade the strength of the valve spring, possibly causing the spring to break.
The engine could fail and stop suddenly while the vehicles is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash. Toyota will notify owners and dealers will repair the vehicles free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during July 2010. Owners may contact Lexus at 1-800-255-3987.

The latest recall of the Lexus IS 350 is a joke! My engine was making noise, I took the car to the dealer only for them to tell me they don’t have the replacement parts. That was three weeks ago and they still don’t know when they will have them. Even though they are putting the new improved parts in the new cars. Good customer service, what a joke.
