Toyota has announced that they are recalling certain models of the 2010 Tacoma pickup trucks. They stated that the propeller shaft may develop cracks during the manufacturing process. Over time, the cracks may eventually lead to the seperation of the propeller shaft.
This may result in a loss of vehicle control increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect and replace the front propeller shaft on affected vehicles free of charge. Owners will be notified in March and April of 2010. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331.
